About
Welcome to Living like Leila, where it is my goal to motivate you to become the best version of YOU by taking control of your life.
Personal development is simple, but it’s definitely not easy.
I truly believe that progress = happiness, so what does it mean if you aren’t making progress?
You may feel a sense of disappointment.
You may feel unmotivated and lazy.
You’re probably frustrated that you keep trying, yet fail to be consistent.
Trust me, I’ve been there.
I didn’t understand why I wouldn’t follow through on the things I would say I would do. It never felt like there was enough time. I thought maybe it wasn’t meant for me.
Until I realized I must take complete control.
Improving yourself is uncomfortable, but that is how you grow.
If you really want something in your life, it can be yours. Whether that is a healthy mind and body, financial freedom, or an amazing relationship, you can have it.
It’s time to move out of your own way and reach for your full potential by focusing on your health, removing negativity and excuses from your life, and working toward what you actually want.
Through my blog, I share content with you in hopes of improving your life.
However, I can’t force you to take action!
I try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to my own journey with becoming debt free and constantly improving myself. The journey is never-ending after all!
If you want more tips, inspiration, and exclusive content, I highly suggest you sign up for my newsletter.

A little bit about me
I am 26 years old and currently a microbiologist.
When I’m not at work you can find me lifting weights, blogging, filming Youtube videos, meal prepping, meditating, or reading.
I have a few big goals that I constantly work towards: get out of debt, become a full-time blogger/Youtuber, move to California, travel A TON, become financially free to do and give as I please, “retire” early, inspire others to become vegan and improve themselves! π
You and your sister have incredible blogs, with content that is so relevant to improving our lives. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep reading!!
Thank you Jahath, that means a lot! Your first vlog was great too, I’m glad we have these resources to make our visions possible.

Hi Leila,
I a vegan too and so are my kids Hilary and Greyson and my grandson Josiah and….we are your cousins! We love your blog and our vegan lifestyle!
I didn’t know you all were vegan!! That’s amazing π
Thank you so much for reading my blog!
I really enjoyed read your blog during sipping on my coffee in the morning. I do make time for the thing I enjoy and multitask. I have one problem Iβm scared to start a blog. It like I have ideas but what if no one will like what I write. And I would also want to make YouTube videos but then I think about all the little details to make the video look presentable. All of what you wrote is like half of my schedule but I want to build more courage. Thank you for message and showing that there is people that have busy schedule with doing what they like to do . I have a 9-5 , a 11 year old, living boyfriend and well me . A lot goes on in a day.
Rose,
Thank you so much for reading my blog π
If something scares you, that’s your sign to do it π Start a blog! Start a YouTube! The key is just starting and staying consistent. It doesn’t have to be perfect, trust me. I’ve been blogging for 4 years and I only JUST NOW (in the last 2 months or so) started gaining a lot of traffic. I wanted to quit so many times but if you really want to do it you’ll stick with it! It doesn’t matter if no one reads/watches at first, just keep going.
Just give it a shot π
Hi leila thank’s for share us this useful knowledge and encourage me to change my lifestyle.
That’s amazing! Thank you so much for reading!
Hi Leila!!!
I just ran into one of your posts about time management and goal setting, and I’m in love!!! π
It’s not that the content was new to me, but it’s still great to read it summed up thay way! Very inspiring and motivational!
I’m a “freshman” blogger myself (it’s not “on air” yet because of many delays- yep…. Classic :))), but you really got me back on track! Thank u for that!
Would love to follow u!
Rita, a fan from Israel π
Aw thank you so much Rita! That’s so exciting you started a blog, blogging is a lot of fun π
This article really opened my eyes. I make tons of excuses, and I realize its not healthy. I need to work out, I need to prioritize me, and other things and people. I need HELP!!
Don’t beat yourself up!! It took you awhile to develop bad habits, so it will take longer to develop positive habits! Take it one day at a time, do at least one little thing each day to improve yourself and things will get easier as time goesπ
I have started blogging recently. Time management is something we all need to learn. Read one of your blogs which was about the time management. You are incredible. Keep up the good work. You are inspiring. I pray you achieve everything in life. Best wishes.
Thank you so much Ashwini! Blogging is so fun so I hope you enjoy it! I appreciate your support ππ

Hi Leila,
Greetings from Poland! I really enjoy reading your blog and watching You Tube videos. Thanks to you, I found out Natalie Bacon’s podcast, which is totally awesome!
I admire that you manage your time so well, working full-time and having a blog. I study Biotechnology but I have been passionate about self-development for 6 years. I’m thinking about starting my own blog where I could write about emotions, mindset, meditation and self-development in general. For now, I try to overcome anxiety and fear that comes with starting a blog but I hope I will finally do it π
You’re inspiring me to focus on my dreams π Keep up the great work!
Best wishes,
Eva
Hi Eva!
Natalie’s podcast is great! Another similar one is The Life Coach School podcast (that’s where she got certified).
Thank you so much for your kind words. And you should definitely start a blog, it’s a lot of fun!
Hi Leila!!
I only recently discovered your blog and youtube channels. You are so inspiring to me! One night, I went onto youtube looking for videos about what it’s like working in the microbiology field. I’m currently in my first year of college majoring in biology for my AS, but plan on heading right into microbiology for my BS. Seeing that you’re in my field of interest was cool, but then I discovered very quickly that you’re also vegan and love working out. AKA my dream life.
I still think it’s so cool that I found someone who vlogs often, is in my future career, and has the lifestyle that I’m striving towards. You are truly someone I look up to. I admire how real you are about yourself, and I feel that I relate to some of your health problems. I just want you to know that you’re amazing, tough, and you will get through this! I enjoy watching your vlogs and reading your blogs.
Before I go, though, I do have one question! Did you learn how to program during your free time to create this beautiful blog?
Thank you for sharing your content with the world!
