Happy Blogcember Day 7!

A lot of people think that going vegan means you can’t eat/drink anything enjoyable, and while you can’t consume many things, there are so many alternatives! Today I wanted to share some recent holiday drinks that I found at my local Sprouts Farmers Market. Sprouts is hands down my favorite grocery store, the produce is fresh, they have many vegan options, tons of fun/new snacks, and an amazing beauty/wellness section filled with natural and cruelty free products. They are also more affordable than other “organic/natural” grocery stores. I always find fun holiday snacks and such to try, it’s so exciting to find treats that vegans can enjoy too!

Anyway, I only have a few drinks to share, but let me know if you try them out!

1. So Delicious Holiday Nog holiday-nog

I don’t think I was ever a fan of egg nog growing up. I’m not sure if I didn’t like the taste or if I never really tried it because the name turned me off to it. I decided to try this Holiday Nog from So Delicious and it’s actually pretty tasty! I would describe the flavor as buttercream frosting, so yes it’s pretty sweet! It’s really nice and creamy though, I’m going to try adding it to my coffee because I think that would taste great!
I don’t drink, but I’d imagine this would also be a good drink to mix with some sort of alcohol…rum maybe? Whatever it is that Bailey’s uses for their iced coffee alcohol!

2. So Delicious Mint Chocolate Coconut Milk

mint-chocolateI know, I know, you probably don’t like mint chocolate…but if you do, you should try this! I never understood how people don’t like the dark, cooling combo I think it’s delicious. This drink tastes like mint chocolate ice cream in creamy drink form. It’s so good! There’s not a hint of coconut flavor in it either! Lately I’ve been mixing it with my protein powder to make things more exciting, it’s actually a good combo!

3. Crio Bru Pumpkin Spice Light Roastcrio-bru

Crio Bru is actually really cool…it’s a “coffee alternative” made of cocoa beans, but is healthier and claims to provide more natural energy with almost no caffeine. It does not taste like coffee to me and I can’t really speak for the energy part, basically I could chug 500 mg of caffeine and still not feel awake so yeah! In my opinion this tastes like hot chocolate, it’s not hot chocolate so don’t expect a creamy texture, but the flavor is awesome, especially with vegan marshmallows on top! The flavor I have is Pumpkin, however they have several different varieties. The pumpkin one does not have an overpowering pumpkin taste in my opinion, it smells like chocolatey goodness.

4. Mighty Leaf Tea- Dark Chocolate and Peppermint Chamomile

mighty-leaf-teaOr any tea really! I recently bought these and they are just so cute and festive! These tea bags are pyramid shaped and individually wrapped in clear plastic, which is wasteful but would be cute to throw in some gifts this year! Peppermint chamomile has always been one of my favorite teas it’s so refreshing and relaxing. Dark chocolate tea sounded amazing so I thought I would give it a try, it’s not too bad! It would taste great with some holiday cookies!

These are just a few drinks I’ve enjoyed so far this season, I’m sure I’ll find more soon!

What is your favorite holiday drink?
