March 2018 Debt Analysis

March 31, 2018May 5, 2018 Leila 2 comments

We’re 4 months into the year and I find that unbelievable! There’s been a lot of good things happening in my life lately and I’m so grateful for that.

I mention a big one down below. I’ve decided that any bit of extra income I make (affiliate sales, ads, selling stuff, etc.) will go toward my debt. With the good news I won’t have to worry about saving extra income just to pay bills…now I’ll have a very comfortable amount and my debt will be gone even faster!

I’ll also be able to create a budget now! I think I’ll start adding those to my monthly reports!

DEBT PAYMENT/INCOME SPREADSHEET

*This spreadsheet does not include payments for my car (a lease) or my insurance (life, health, vision, dental)*

CURRENT FICO SCORE: 664

THE GOOD NEWS

My credit score went up ten points

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from Bank of America saying they are increasing my credit card limit by $3000. This is great news! Not so I can spend more, but this decreased by credit card utilization by 9% which explains the 10 point increase!

My debt decreased

A little over $200 down from last month!

I got a new job…A GOOD ONE

I’m so excited! This position is at a well-known company with a very high reputation. This position also requires my degree, so maybe grad school wasn’t a huge waste after all…

I don’t want to share my exact income because it’s a government company so I’m assuming I could get in trouble for that. However, my income will be increasing by more than double what I get now. So I’ll get out of debt even faster!!! All in all this is a huge change in my life and I’m excited to begin this journey.

THE BAD NEWS

I charged to my credit cards again

I charged a bit to my credit cards. However, I did end up paying it all over before the month ended!

Short and simple this month! I’m excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait for my debt to start dropping by thousands! Happy Spring!
