PRK Day 4

December 15, 2015March 25, 2016 Leila 1 comment

I woke up with really crisp vision, but that didn’t last long. It was really nice to see that this surgery may really work for me though. My light sensitivity definitely decreased, and I watched several YouTube videos (it is Vlogcember/Vlogmas you know!?) and I watched all of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! It’s amazing that I can read words on the tv! I wrapped all of my Christmas gifts and put them under the tree too! I also used the most eye drops this day. Probably every 15 to 30 minutes. They were getting really dry, but I feel like it’s mostly the yucky contact bandage STILL in my eye. I also made sure to blink a lot while watching tv and things. I’m usually a gym rat, so it’s been rough eating like crap and not lifting weights, however I did go to the gym. I walked on the treadmill for about 2.5 miles at a steady pace of like 3.7. I did break out a small sweat! My legs were really cramping this day, I’m guessing from all the inactivity and sleeping. It’s no good. I also went grocery shopping after the gym. Still no pain at all, just dryness and it feels like I have something in my eye (which I do). Also, when I put eyedrops in, I can taste them. I don’t think this happens to everyone, but I looked it up and it’s normal. It’s disgusting though, the taste lasts for several minutes, even if I drink or eat. I was reading lots of things at the grocery store from far away, but couldn’t see perfectly. My night vision is pretty terrible though, I couldn’t really read any signs. No halos though!
